Diamond Cutting & Powder Coating
Diamond cut finishes are perfect for a glossy or matt finish. The process involves an alloy wheel which has been put on a lathe and part of or the entire painted surface of the wheel machined to leave a clean alloy finish. A small part of the alloy wheel is machined off to create this final finish. It’s then lacquered to prevent corrosion. Because it's precise, diamond cutting takes longer than powder coating, however the results are exceptional. Contact Us for more information.
Diamond Cut Alloy Repairs
A diamond cut wheel is an alloy wheel which has been put on a lathe and part of or the entire painted surface of the wheel machined off to leave a shiny alloy finish. A small part of the actual alloy is machined off to create this finish. It is then lacquered over to prevent corrosion.
At Cheshire Alloy Wheel Repair Centre this process takes place in house and all work is carried out at our workshop in Widnes. For our customers it means no long delays in sending out wheels and waiting for them to come back. Depending on the type of damage, we may be able to offer this process same day, depending on how much work is booked in.
Why is it the best way to keep your alloys in good condition?
Keeping your alloy wheels in tip-top condition can extend the life of your wheels as well as the vehicle they belong to. Potholes, raised curbs and debris in the road can sometimes make this a difficult task. Hitting one may cause weird vibration you never noticed before, or a thumping sound you cannot remember hearing previously, you may notice the handling is off and you are spending a lot more time in the fuel station than you used to. Leaving these symptoms unattended may cause uneven wear in the tyres, suspension and steering components. Costing thousands and reducing the life span of the car.
Cracked wheel? No problem!
A cracked wheel will leak air and cause damage to your wheel as well as your tyres. Left unattended the crack will grow past a point it cannot be repaired. It may even fail completely with a big enough impact. At Cheshire Alloy Wheel Repair Centre we take welding very seriously and do all we can to stop the crack growing, repair it and make sure it doesn’t come back.
With our specially sourced welding rods we are so confident in the repair we give it a 6 months warranty.
